Axis Launchpad is a Microsoft project designed to provide development opportunities and improve efficiencies for technological projects led by employees in the security department. After a screening process conducted by a committee of reviewers, one project is selected to receive professional support and resources to further develop and implement the idea.
The Project
Since the users are professionals in the security world and the project represents a significant opportunity, the challenge was to reflect in the design minimalism, subtle sophistication, tech-inspired, yet boldness and pushing boundaries.
The Challenge
The process began with research and strategy to understand user needs and the persona. The main design concept was to create something bold and boundary-pushing, presenting the project's opportunities and the potential it offers participants, balanced with minimalism and subtle sophistication. It reflects in the Axis logo. The visual identity combines coding elements, such as brackets, presented in a clean and minimalistic way. The color palette maintains a minimalist look and feel, while the imagery introduces boldness and extreme scenarios. Overlaying the images are axis elements, represented by X and Y lines to connect the concept. The next steps focused on building wireframes and high-fidelity designs, ensuring usability remained a top priority throughout. Then, the designs were handed over to the development team and prepared for launch.
